Roselands residential home
Roselands Residential Home is located in a picturesque setting in the village of Brede. This residential care premises is home for up to 35 older people that require support and personal care.
The staff are a well trained and tight knit team and with many having worked in the home for a number of years, a good continuity of care is provided.
There are a choice of comfortable sitting areas for residents to relax in, or enjoy activities. Beautiful views of the landscaped garden and surrounding countryside can be admired from the dining room, as well as the conservatory. Residents are encouraged to personalise their bedrooms (many with ensuite facilities) and with art work painted by the residents adorning the walls of the spacious corridors, the home has a light, airy and comfortable feel. One person told the CQC, ‘This place is in peaceful surroundings, beautiful.’
Staff promote people’s independence and encourage them to do as much for themselves as they are able to (although walking aids are provided when necessary). People’s wishes are respected, such as their wish to have a late breakfast or simply enjoy reading the papers in a quiet area.
The village of Brede has an award winning country pub and there are scenic walks in the ancient forest of Brede High Woods. Although the home is situated in beautiful countryside, the seaside towns of Rye and Hastings are a short drive away.
