Eleanor Care Transport works to the highest levels of professionalism across all our staff disciplines, with colleagues working seamlessly together to deliver excellence in all aspects of non-emergency patient transport.
Our drivers and driver assistants are supported to deliver frontline services by our experienced control and planning team and a robust infrastructure that includes an on call system that operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and state-of-the-art software for real time management of patient transport vehicle movements, to maximise efficiency and resources.
All our patient transport drivers and driver assistants must successfully undergo reference, Disclosure and Barring Service (which replace the Criminal Records Bureau) and driving licence checks before starting work with us.
They also receive full initial and ongoing training – including in the skills and competencies below – that is fully compliant with the ambulance transport sector’s requirements, and we regularly monitor and check their knowledge.
