Our residence is a semi-detached property with a small garden in front and a large back garden. It has been refurbished to a high standard, and tenants are involved in how their own rooms are furnished and can decorate according to their interests.
The ground floor has a connected living room and dining room. The well equipped kitchen is located to the dining room and leads out to a well tended patio and garden area.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom and an office. The second floor has both a bedroom and bathroom.
Southbury Road is located close to bus stops (20m) and train stations (half a mile to Enfield Town). It is within easy reach of local shops and cinemas, parks and community services.
Eleanor Living Skills Supported Living Services consist of a broad range of services to adults with learning disabilities who choose to live in their own homes in the community.
This may include:
- Assistance with selecting and moving into a home
- Choosing care workers and housemates
- Acquiring household furnishings
- Daily living activities
- Becoming a participating member in community life
- Help with managing personal financial affairs, as well as other support
These services help individuals exercise meaningful choice and control in their daily lives, including where and with whom to live. Supported Living Services is designed to foster individuals’ nurturing relationships, full membership in the community, and work toward their long-range personal goals.
Supported Living Services are offered for as long and as often as needed, with the flexibility required to meet a persons’ changing needs over time, and without regard solely to the level of disability. Typically, a supported living service agency works with the individual to establish and maintain a safe, stable, and independent life in his or her own home. But it is also possible for some individuals to supervise their services themselves, to secure the maximum possible level of personal independence.
