A host of carers from Poole-based care company Eleanor Care have been shortlisted for a prestigious care awards.
The care team from the company’s Poole Branch, Michelle Dazo, Hazelyn Pascual, Joselyn Gammad, and Rey Vasquez have been shortlisted for the Care Team award at the Great South West Care Awards.
Katherina “Kathy” Vasquez, the branch’s home care coordinator, has also been shortlisted for the Home Care Coordinator award.
Founded in 1979 the company provides home care, nursing staff, patient transport, care homes and consultancy. The Group also has its own OCR registered training centre in Lewisham which provides a range of courses including diplomas in Health and Social Care and Certificates in Dementia Care and many more.
Michelle, Hazelyn, Joselyn and Rey moved to the Poole branch in 2011 when it first opened. They have helped build up the branch from scratch after services were transferred over to Eleanor Care from another provider.
They have had to work extremely hard to complete all the branch’s care calls while learning a new area and how to travel around it in the process.
Kathy has also been instrumental in building up the branch, including dealing with several long standing issues to ensure that all service users have received the very best care in the transition period.
Marc Santhi, managing director of Eleanor Care, said: “We’re extremely proud of the members of the Poole branch who have been shortlisted for these prestigious care awards.
“We are particularly honoured as the Great South West Care Awards recognise best practice in the care industry across the whole of the South West.
“The Poole care team have also been instrumental in ensuring the company has built up a good reputation in the area and have maintained that reputation with excellent service.”
Kathy and the care team at Poole will find out if they have been successful at the awards evening on 15th November at Brunel’s Old Station in Bristol.
