During my mother’s stay at Conewood Manor Nursing Home, she has been cared for as an individual with respect and kindness by the staff. When she first arrived the manager and the staff made time to understand her condition and her preferences for treatment. The atmosphere in Conewood is warm and very friendly, as well as being extremely efficient. Rooms are clean and comfortable, patients are kept warm and clean while the food is prepared to meet the needs of the individual. This is nursing at its best because they treat the person, helping them physically with the necessary treatment while getting to know them and giving them comfort and tender care. My mother was at the end of her life yet the staff made time to discuss her treatment right up to the end and offered to make contact at any time if her condition changed. When she died they offered us comfort at a very difficult time.
