Located just a stone’s throw away from the iconic Canoe Lake, Bluebell Nursing Home accommodates up to 49 residents at once. A well-established and friendly team of 75 staff supports the home.

The team creates care plans that suit each resident’s support needs, skills, aspirations, and safeguarding requirements. Throughout the year we host events, themed nights, and activities to stimulate and engage our residents and our chef prepares foods from across the world for these occasions.

The team specialises in creating personalised engagement and support for residents with Dementia. The home operates a unique Staff Champions Programme, which helps everyone in the team to give and receive advice, share expertise, and stay up to date in the field of specialised care. The team will not only cater to your loved one’s physical needs but also learn all about your loved one and create opportunities for positive reminiscence.

Our facility is charming, convenient, and easily accessible by public transport. The home has a lounge and separate dining areas. The entire facility is adjusted for people with Dementia, with specific furniture and wall decorations. The locality perfectly suits those who enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. Our residents love the warmer seasons when they can sit in the garden, in the crisp sea breeze, and listen to the birds in our outdoor aviary.

In short, Bluebell is your loved one’s new family home on the Southsea beach.

Our Manager

Stacey Parkhill

Registered Manager

Hi, I am Stacey Parkhill!

I have worked in the Care sector since 2004, and have worked for Bluebell since 2007. I started as a care assistant completing my level 3 in Health and Social Care and progressing to senior carer. In 2018 I achieved my level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, and taking on a role as Training Officer more recently, where I gained more experience. I am delighted at the opportunity of a managerial role, and with my extensive knowledge of Bluebell and our residents I continue to be an asset to our team.

My vision for Bluebell is continue to provide a high standard of care for all our residents and to facilitate training opportunities for our compassionate and incredibly committed carers and staff.
