Croydon is one of South London’s most vibrant and well-connected boroughs — known for its green open spaces, woodland areas and strong local community.
South Croydon, in particular, offers a quieter, residential setting while still being close to the town centre and transport links into Central London. With nearby parks and natural surroundings, it creates an environment that supports calm, routine and quality of life.
This balance of peaceful living and accessibility makes it an ideal location for individuals who benefit from both tranquillity and connection.
Care at Langley Oaks is designed around the individual — their needs, routines, preferences and personality.
Our residential care supports individuals who may need help with daily living but still wish to maintain independence. From personal care and mobility support to assistance with routines, residents receive consistent, respectful support within a safe and structured environment — without losing their sense of identity or freedom.
We provide specialist dementia care for individuals at all stages, including complex needs. Our approach focuses on familiarity, reassurance and structured routines, helping reduce anxiety and confusion. Residents are supported in a way that promotes comfort, dignity and meaningful engagement.
Respite care offers short-term support for families — whether for recovery, temporary care, or a break from caregiving responsibilities. Many families also use respite stays to experience the home first-hand, often finding it becomes a natural long-term choice.
Langley Oaks has been designed to provide comfort, accessibility and a high standard of everyday living.

Langley oaks is a home from home, I would love to pop some names of the wonderful staff who are like family for mum! I can honestly say my mum is so happy to live here forever as she keeps telling me! The family of staff are truly amazing and caring and mum is so very lucky and I’m truly grateful for the kindness, support and care and her quality of life is amazing and it’s just such a pleasure to hear mum speak so highly of how lovely the food and drinks are, how clean and tidy her home is and how everyone friendly and her room is lovely and the gardens are beautiful and she cannot wait until the summer to see the garden in full bloom! I would never want her to be anywhere but here as she is finally living the wonderful life she so truly deserves and I couldn’t be happier!! Every need is catered for and nothing is too much, she is treated with the upmost of dignity, she is safe, there are lots of activities and they have gone above and beyond and I’m truly thankful and grateful!
My stepfather has been residing at Langley Oaks for nearly four years. In that time he has been very well cared for and treated with respect. His room is always immaculate and comfortable. The meals are always varied and plenty of choice. I am always contacted if there are any issues or problems and have piece of mind that he is being well cared for. His health has been stable as he has regular health checks and proper medication. The staff are always very friendly and approachable. The only downside is not enough use of outdoor space and possibly mere use of minibus to take residents out.
My ailing mother spent over a year in the professional care of Langley Oaks. All of the staff were wonderful, accommodating and caring to my 94 year old mother and all of her visiting family. From management to medical, domestic, catering and general carers they gave a very personal and understanding service in a very pleasant environment. As a family we are very grateful to them.

Staff are superb and the surroundings are kept clean and bright and decorated for special days. Whenever I visit Dad always has a glass of juice or a cup of tea and a biscuit on the table. Residents have activities set up for them and taken care of as you would your own family. Safety is excellent and my mind is at rest knowing he is taken care of and safe. Despite a successful stint as one of the youngest finance directors in London, specialising in mergers and acquisitions for a prominent advertising company, Marc found his professional success to be hollow. Driven by a desire to serve the community, he left the lucrative world of finance to establish an accountancy practice and business consultancy in Lewisham. His mission was clear: guide local start-ups and small businesses toward financial transparency and profitability.
As Marc’s consultancy flourished, he received a crucial call from Eleanor in 2005, who was struggling to keep her nursing agency afloat after 26 years. Marc took on the challenge, initiating a leap of faith that marked the beginning of a transformative journey. Today, the Eleanor Healthcare Group stands as a model business in the care sector, with over 1500 dedicated members, fluent in 112 languages, supporting over 3000 clients. The senior staff, with a combined experience of over 100 years in health and social care, has been instrumental in guiding and participating in the organisation’s remarkable growth.
Marc draws inspiration from his team of staff care workers and frontline keyworkers, acknowledging their role in preserving the life and dignity of the most vulnerable in the community. He emphasises that Eleanor is an organization with people at its core, having created a paradigm shift in the care sector with the driving principle that social care is about people, not processes. In 2009, Marc introduced the concept of person-centric care, responding to a request from Richmond Council. Eleanor Healthcare Group led the transformation, offering tailor-made services and pioneering an outcomes-based approach in collaboration with local authorities. The organisation then took a leading role in preventive care, integrating health and social care services and introducing a novel caring model to Lewisham Council based on the Buurtzorg model.
Despite numerous achievements, Marc sees success as just the beginning. The Eleanor family remains ready to take another leap of faith, with trust in people above processes. In the face of mounting challenges to health and social care systems, Marc has been steering Eleanor to the forefront of much-needed innovation within the UK and globally. Eleanor Healthcare Group takes pride in its identity, never compromising integrity and always preserving its true essence. The commitment to taking the road less travelled is evident as it approaches the next fork in the future of healthcare, promising to continue breaking new ground and redefine possibilities.
