LEAD THE LIFE YOU CHOOSE

We recognise and respect that every resident will progress at their own pace. Our residential services provide both support and stimulation and are designed to support you to live the life you want to lead. If you chose, you can enjoy fulfilling and constructive experiences.

We also provide activities in our homes for you to enjoy with the other residents or for your friends and family to get involved too. Our residential homes are all conveniently based in vibrant communities, offering easy access to educational, leisure and social activities.

BE IN CONTROL OF THE SUPPORT YOU RECEIVE

Person-centred care is at the heart of our approach. We encourage and support every resident (and family or loved ones if you choose) to be involved in their own planning, decision-making and actions, in the way they feel most comfortable with. This process includes contributing to your personalised support plan and identifying what you want to achieve.

OUR TEAM ARE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY

Each of our care homes is staffed by a team of professional support workers and led by a registered manager. Our new recruits undergo thorough interviewing, referencing and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.

At our care homes, our staff are hand-picked and are naturally caring, compassionate and empathetic. We recognise that our nurses, care worker, and health care assistants are all heroes. We provide excellent rates of pay, bonus schemes, and complete training and development programmes to support their career in the care sector. We believe that our staff are the most important element of our service, and we ensure to recognise this at every opportunity, and to ultimately encourage a lifelong, career in the health and care sector!

We value the skills and expertise of our staff and develop these further with ongoing and specialist training. All our support staff have either achieved a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) to a minimum of level 2 or are working towards the Diplomas in Health and Social Care that have replaced these. We also carry out regular monitoring of our support staff to ensure we consistently deliver high standards of care.

We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to providing equal opportunities for both our residents and employees.

All our care home residents can expect to be treated with respect, dignity and sensitivity irrespective of their age, gender, race, belief, culture, disability, or sexual identity.

ONCE YOU HAVE MADE YOUR DECISION, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Whether you have been referred or got in touch with us yourself, the first thing we do is carry out an assessment. Our assessment process is designed to ensure that our services are appropriate to your needs. We want you to feel comfortable about moving into one of our homes and happy about the other residents that you will meet.

Our assessment includes spending time with you or your loved one and talking to other people involved in your life. This may include your family, current care provider or advocate. Following the assessment, if we believe that one of our residential homes is appropriate for you, we will provide a placement offer, including details of costs. We will also arrange for you and your family, carer or advocate to visit the home. As part of your transition process, this will help you to get to know the other residents. You can even join them for a meal or stay overnight if you like.
