On the same website, Conewood Manor was also rated one of the “Top 20 care homes” among 1,643 registered care homes in East of England. Besides this, the home is also rated Good by the CQC in all the key lines of enquiry: Safe, Caring, Well-Led, Effective & Responsive.
The CQC inspection team noted, “The . . . registered manager continuously looked for ways to improve the service. Staff were supported to develop their language skills as well as their knowledge in their areas of interest. Feedback from relatives and people listened and where needed actions were taken to improve the service.”
The beautiful Edwardian Era building which forms the main part of the home is Grade 2 listed. It contains many authentic antique features that evoke a sense of timelessness and nostalgia that the residents find deeply comforting. The 44 bedrooms have dementia-friendly features and state of art facilities such as electrically adjustable beds, enhanced lights, nurse call bells, and en-suite wet rooms.
